About

A Loop CO₂ brand.

Polylucia Polymer is the optical-adhesive platform of Loop CO₂ — a materials company building specialty polymers from captured carbon dioxide.

The name comes from Saint Lucia, patron of eyesight — fitting for a material whose job is to disappear from the optical path. Every formulation in the platform is derived from a CO₂-based feedstock, certified biodegradable, and free of the legacy molecular liabilities (NCO, BPA, aromatic UV chromophores) that are aging out of regulated markets.

We are not a green version of an incumbent resin. We are a new optical materials platform that happens to also be aligned with where regulation, ESG procurement, and the photonic packaging roadmap are all moving.

What we publish here

Each week we publish a company-specific industry brief — a public-facing recommendation for how a named leader in photonics, AR/VR, LiDAR, dental, or hygiene could deploy Polylucia. The headline take and recommendation are open and indexable. The full deep-dive, including formulation route, qualification cycle estimate, cost-impact modelling, and regulatory exposure scoring, is behind the subscriber wall.

Subscribers also get our pitch decks (investor, photonics partnership, dental partnership), technical data sheets for Etaflex and Detalon, and application notes as they're released.
